Lagoon Days

(This post as well as a few others were supposed to be Post-dated but all posted today. So after view this, scroll down and you will see about three other new postings. The rest have been post-dated so you should have a new blog to view every other day for the next several days.)
Those of you who Facebook know that I worked the Student Days at Lagoon. It was 12 days of work (not consecutively) that the park hosted school field trips. Kids came from all over the state as well as from neighboring states. I got paid by the hour and also received 5 season passes from my family to use (so I only needed to buy 2). The reason I did it was for the passes. I had to be there at 8:30 to start setting up my booth for the park's opening at 9:30. All but 2 days we closed at 4:00 and I was ready to go home by 4:40. The other two days it closed at 5:00. If the passes get used this summer it will be well worth it, as the passes cost close to $90 a piece to purchase.

This fountain offers tons of fun for the kids. This day this group of kids stayed in the fountain for nearly 30 minutes!

This is Shannon who worked the "Front Entrance" booth with me. She didn't need to show up until 11:00. That worked out good as she has 2 young kids at home and was 5 months pregnant. She definitely need the shorter day. She was a great girl and we enjoyed working together.

This is me in the booth. We sold bottled water, fountain drinks, Dippin' Dots, Caramel Apples, Popcorn, and Cotton Candy.

My view to the right for 12 days... lockers

My view to the left... the haunted house

The view in front of me... flowers and the fountain
